AFJ Signs is owned and operated by Alan Jeans, former President of the Sign Association of Canada (1998 to 2000). Alan began his career in 1974, when he started up Unique Signs here in the Orangeville area, which he owned and operated until 1981. At this time, Alan moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia and founded a new sign business, Jeans Signs, which employed over 80 people. He sold that business in 2000, and moved back to Orangeville, to his original exact location, 35 Robb Blvd, and opened up AFJ Signs.

Alan enjoys a smaller town environment and likes to get involved in local community and business clubs. Alan is currently the President of the Orangeville Business Club (OBC) and a member of the local Dufferin Chamber of Commerce. AFJ Signs has donated signs to local charities such as The Orangeville Food Bank, Choices Youth Center and special events of the Chamber of Commerce. In keeping with Alan’s strong sense of community development, all AFJ Sign employees are from the local Orangeville area.
